England has a monarchial system of governance, ruled by kings which prompted big habitats to be built. Castles are large buildings built for protection against attacks, monarchical government is faced with so many challenges. Rulers were forced to design houses to secure their people and family members from habitual attacks. Castles represent power, they provided a battleground for raids to be launched, diplomatic meetings were held inside and used as a storage unit for firearms. In addition, they are meant to offer shelter to the royal family, kings live with other people, and a castle is spacious to provide room to every individual in the family.
When England participated in a war between Scotland and Wales, a castle was built. The building acted as a warehouse for storage of food, water, military equipment and guest rooms. In addition, England was very spacious before people inhabited it, builders did not have skills in building, so they ended up designing castles to occupy the space. Wars lasted for a long period of time, with castles as habitants, there was sufficient food supply to last individuals, firearms to fight enemies and hiding places to secure weak people like children. England had families with titles for this reason, castles were structured as a symbol of wealth, and the families owned several structures.

The country was ready for attacks all the time, military equipment was bought then kept secure. Managing such activities became easy, frequent movement was minimized which could prompt unnecessary fear among the citizens.
Having different houses for storage of such items could lead to theft and unprepared attacks. The castle made sure that fire arms were reliable during the time of need. Enemies who ambushed attacks were dealt with faster because retrieving the arms was easier. The ruling party finds it convenient to teach or instill leadership skills to their sons. Having seen how your father ruled, you could pick important virtues to apply in your dynasty.
In general castles are more common in England due to their history in war and mode of governance. The castles had thick walls to last decades, constructors were still not experienced in building but, the walls gave them time due to its durability. England had titles for the noble class, each had to secure a structure to provide shelter to his members. The more castles built, the higher your power increased with varieties of such structures in England.
